Our officers worked very hard during recent weeks to prepare for this inspection and are proud that our organization has been recognized favorably by The Commonwealth.

JULY 2, 2013

The Dickson City Ambulance and Lackawanna Ambulance were recognized by Geisinger CMC for participating in the care of a patient suffering from a STEMI last month.  This type of heart attack can be life threatening if not treated promptly.  Our crew treated and transported the patient from a business on Route 6 to the cath lab at GCMC where he received two stents.  The procedure was performed within 80 minutes of initial EMS contact with the patient which falls within GCMC's goal of less than 90 minutes.  We are told the patient is doing well today.  Great job to Dickson City EMTs Bill Bonna, Marty Hrinko and everyone else involved!
